Kakwitene VR design is inspired by Iroquois Woodlands and Raised Beadwork designs of Iroquois, Onkwehonwe, Native American, North American Indian and Kanien’kéhake. This design was created with virtual reality and you can go into the unique virtual reality experience titled ’Kakwitene VR’ on the Steam VR store. You fly around like a little bee. When you fly into the flowers you can hear what the flowers say with Kanien’kéha dialects. Kanien’kéha is an Iroquoian language still spoken today with 7 dialects (eastern, central, western) in North America. The colorful flowers in this design were designed by Monica using Tiltbrush VR and similar to what she designs for raised bead work projects she makes for her Iroquois regalia. This design is part of a larger project titled Kakwitene VR that is in the Indigenous Futurism genre for Indigenous Language Revival & Retention projects. .
