Promoting your E-Commerce Store with Instagram - Social Media Tips

This year is a BIG one for Instagram, with their latest milestone of having more than 1 billion active users monthly. Other known achievements include the launch of IGTV, Shoppable Stickers for Instagram Stories, and the announcement of IG Shopping. Every update by Instagram has significantly disrupted the market, and it has been considered to be the most important social media for ecommerce. 
Here’s some tips to help you promote your e-commerce store with Instagram:

1. Instagram is not just a social media platform; it is your second home page

Many e-commerce shops tend to just treat their social media platforms as another platform for revenue, or to match their competitors. However, social media for ecommerce should display much more than that. Similar to the homepage of their website, it should instantly tell users about the business: branding, mission, what they actually do. 
The page should be flooded with content that gives users a big picture, but it should also display a sense of connection with the audience. Instagram is a social media platform, and interaction with the users is absolutely needed. 2. Instagram Stories - Highlights and Call-to-Actions

All Instagram business account owners can set up Instagram Shop easily by following this guide. They can tag up to 5 products per post, or 20 per carousel. You can also edit product details and prices! Followers that love your products will be taken directly to your shop once they click the tag, which would generate more revenue for you! An important factor to take note is to set up a comprehensive product catalog through Facebook Business Manager or Shopify

Riding on the wave of this cool feature, Instagram has also replicated it on Stories. Yes, you can now tag products in your stories!
